Project Management for the creation of a monumental sculpture
Since its creation, Agent M has worked with many modern artists and cultural institutions, including managing projects dealing with the creation and implementation of monumental sculptures. On November 29th, 2019, LOU CHE, a monumental sculpture by artist Noël Dolla was erected in Nice, at the Olympia station – the final stop on the west-east tramway line. As part of this collaboration, Agent M contributed specific project management expertise and technical assistance for the implementation of the sculpture. This included several aspects to ensure the tangibility and feasibility of the artist’s initial project. Determining the best way to transcribe the art piece, from the drawn sketch to its final implementation was a lengthy process involving in-depth exchanges with the artist to ensure a perfect understanding of the art piece, as well as support for its actual creation. Concerning LOU CHE, this upstream work led to changes in the initial project, and the artist made several modifications due to technical requirements, which determined the final appearance of the sculpture.
